reflection and coming together as a family at the time of breaking the fast
each night.
The old city of Sultanahmet comes alive at this time - it is a great time to visit Istanbul and see it at its most liveliest. All around the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome and Sultanahmet Park there is a carnival atmosphere. Food stalls set up special menus, shops selling all number of things are open until late. Ottoman bands, stilt walkers and vendors wander through the crowds. Tourists are welcomed and can join in the fun.
