Ayasofya Hotel is an historic house built in the 19th Century. Originally 3 wooden houses in the Ottoman Style it was converted to a hotel around 1990.
Since that time it has offered traditional Turkish Hospitality to guests from all over the world. It was refurbished again in 2009 when it was taken over by an Australian Turkish partnership – Gaye Reeves from Melbourne Australia and Ceyhun Guner from Manisa Turkey.
Located right next door to the ancient walls of the Hippodome Splendon it is friendly and safe place to stay in the Old City. Our reception staff speak good english and are here to assist you in every way possible. We have 8 languages between our staff including Russian, Spanish and Polish.
We help make your stay in Istanbul more enjoyable with assistance in planning your time, maps, directions and tour bookings. We can suggest off the tourist track places to visit and local and specialist restaurants. We are at your service for anything you need during your stay.
Guests from all over the world come to Ayasofya Hotel and we often hear guests commenting after a long days sightseeing that it is just like coming home! One of the nicest things we see in our hotel is to see people of different nationalities and cultures making friends and learning about other cultures – either in our cozy lobby or terrace bar in the summer months!
At Ayasofya you and your family are our welcome guests. Our aim is to make your stay in Istanbul a happy one and we want you to leave this amazing city of Istanbul with lasting happy memories.
